Sample work

Three made-up brand examples.

Each sample runs 25 seconds, so each one uses a single credit. We don't use templates, so your brief tells any story that moves you.

Wayline · Fleet charging

Zoom out

From one delivery to one route, one depot, one city, then the whole network.

25 seconds · 1 credit

Ledra · Accounts payable

Follow the invoice

One invoice, from the inbox to closed books, in six beats.

25 seconds · 1 credit

Zedly · Sleep and training app

One bad night

A short night, a moved workout, and a better Thursday, told on phone and watch.

25 seconds · 1 credit

Spec work. Ledra, Wayline, and Zedly are invented brands, made to show our process. They aren't real companies, and the names and figures in them are illustrative.

More on explainers

The problem

Your product ships faster than your video does.

Software teams can now launch a feature every few days with AI. Most of it goes out as a screenshot, because one-off video projects can't keep up.

One-off video projects

  • A new brief and a new quote for every video
  • Weeks of back-and-forth on each project
  • Templates that don't look like your product
  • Launches ship before the video does
  • Or a full-time motion hire you can't keep busy

Generative

  • A set number of 30-second credits each quarter
  • Built on your colours, type, and product UI
  • Design and brand pulled from your existing resources
  • Checked by a person, with two revision rounds
  • Delivered in 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1

Credits

Bought in 30-second credits.

One credit is 30 seconds of finished animation, with script, storyboard, captions, music, and two revision rounds. Pick how many you need each quarter.

Starter

12 credits a quarter

6 minutes a quarter

About one 30-second piece a week for launches, onboarding, and social.

Growth

24 credits a quarter

12 minutes a quarter

Two pieces a week across launches, onboarding, sales, and social.

Scale

48 credits a quarter

24 minutes a quarter

Four pieces a week for several teams shipping at once.

Quarterly plans, billed monthly. Need more in a quarter? Add credits at your plan's per-credit rate. Pricing depends on how many credits you need, so we quote it on the call.

How it works

Your brand goes in. Finished animation comes out.

Before we animate anything, we build your brand into a system every frame has to follow. That's what keeps the tenth piece as on-brand as the first.

Every asset is checked against your brand system by a person before it reaches you.

  1. 01

    30-minute call

We learn your product, what's shipping next, and how many credits a quarter you'll need.

  2. 02

    Brand system

Your logo, colours, fonts, and product UI become rules every frame has to follow.

  3. 03

    Script and storyboard

You approve the words and the frames before any animation starts.

  4. 04

    Animation and delivery

Checked by a person, revised twice if needed, and delivered in the format you choose.

More from the studio

We make a lot of other things as well.

Writing, social and ad design, decks and print, product imagery, UGC-style video, and brand systems. Our team makes all of it, on the same brand system as your explainers.

Casey Milone, founder of Generative

Who you're working with

Creative direction first. AI second.

Generative was founded by Casey Milone, a former Creative Director at NVIDIA and Microsoft. Casey has spent years building AI production workflows for writing, design, imagery, and motion, and still directs and reviews every piece that leaves the studio.

The tools change every month. Brand judgement, editorial standards, and an eye for what's off are what make AI work usable. We get more out of AI tools than you do (sorry, not sorry).

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot

What does it cost?+

It depends on how many credits a quarter you need. Book a 30-minute call and we'll give you an exact number, not a range.

What counts as a credit?+

One credit is 30 seconds of finished animation. A piece up to 30 seconds uses one credit, 31 to 60 seconds uses two, and so on. Anything under 30 seconds still uses a full credit.

Can we split one credit into two 15-second clips?+

No. Each piece uses at least one credit, and each credit is delivered in one format: 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1.

Will it actually look like our product?+

That is the point of the brand system. We build from your real product UI, logo files, and guidelines, and a person checks every frame for accuracy before delivery.

Do you do voiceover?+

Not yet. Every piece ships with captions and licensed music, built to work on mute in social feeds.

Can we use everything you make commercially?+

Yes. Deliverables are produced for your commercial use, and we work with commercially licensed models and tools. Where an asset depends on something with its own terms, such as a licensed font, we tell you before it ships.

What do you need from us to start?+

Your brand guidelines (or whatever exists of them), logo files, screenshots or access to your product, and a list of what's shipping next. We handle the rest.

Is our material kept private?+

Yes. Your brand files, product references, and briefs are used only to produce your work.

Do you work with other agencies?+

Yes. We offer white-label production for agencies that need more capacity in writing, design, product imagery, or video, delivered under your name.
